Key Bible Verses
Psalm 30:1-12
Digging Deeper
Being thankful and joyful can be challenging in a difficult and complex world. Psalm 30 expresses the need for help from God, who lifts us up out of the depths of hopelessness and helps us when we call on Him and depend on Him.
Psalm 30:5 powerfully reminds us of God’s transformative actions: “His anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.” This verse underscores God's goodness and the hope He provides, promising deliverance from seemingly insurmountable circumstances.
In all things and at all times, we are reminded to “Sing the praises of the Lord, you His faithful people; praise His holy name.” (Psalm 30:4)

Prayer
Lord, I am thankful that You love me so much that Your patience, love, and goodness follow me wherever I go. Even when I suffer the deepest despair, I know I can cry out to You, and You will hear me. It is reassuring knowing that my life is precious in Your sight, that You want to comfort me and assure me that I belong to You, and that You are in control of all things. May I sing Your praises and worship Your holy name. “You turned my wailing into dancing; You removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy, that my heart may sing Your praises and not be silent. Lord my God, I will praise You forever.” (Psalm 30: 11-12 NIV)
