Vision Update From Pastor Matt

Pastor Matt Heard

Northland Family,

As many of you know, we have been in a re-visioning process these last few months—listening for, praying about and talking with one another about God’s vision for the future of Northland Church. In our worship services this past weekend, I provided an update on our progress (watch the sermon here). As we continue to dream together about our next chapter of ministry, we want to extend a simple opportunity for you to provide input because every voice is essential to this development—especially yours. By answering eight simple questions, you can speak into this exciting journey. Click here to provide your input.

Some of our staff know a favorite vision quote of mine, credited to Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. It is one to which I’ve often referred as we’ve embarked on this voyage together: “If you want to build a ship, don’t drum up people together to collect wood and don’t assign them tasks and work, but rather teach them to dream and long for the endless immensity of the sea.”

During these exciting days, I want to extend my gratitude for your partnership, your faithfulness and your embrace of this next season. I am immensely hopeful regarding the coming days as we experience God’s grace, leadership, enablement and glory as we sail into His future for Northland Church. Please continue to pray together as we gain powerful clarity and direction for this next season!

I am grateful for you...and dreaming of the endless immensity of the sea alongside you,
Pastor Matt
