Lincoln listened carefully as Pop explained in detail how to steer; once he gripped that motor’s handle and we headed out he couldn’t stop smiling, pointing out things he spotted that we shouldn’t miss, and asking questions along the way. Boy do I love being with people who see life as a God-given adventure and, I admit, it’s especially fun to be with those who are loving the journey!
Northland is made up of people like that! You are people who look forward in hopeful anticipation; people who love learning and doing; people who want to make progress and aren’t afraid to try something new to accomplish that goal. Each one of you is so valuable on this journey of faith we are taking together! Your perspective, your experiences and knowledge make the trip more exciting for all of us. Doing life with you brings the message of the Bible to life!
As we leave the land of 2016 you should know that one of the best things about our time there was a huge effort of preparation for 2017! Check this out: http://northlandchurch.net/seeingthekingdom/ It doesn’t really matter what “boat” we find ourselves in today, great adventures are yet to be had. By the grace of God, may we never lose the joy of the journey!
“Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize of God’s heavenly calling in Christ Jesus. All of us who are mature should embrace this point of view.” Philippians 3:13-15a
