A Mothers’s Day Message
My Dear Moms,
When asked to write a word of encouragement to moms, I began to seek a word from the Holy Spirit. I am not a great writer who is educated in proper punctuation or grammar. I leave that to the one who edits this and will write from my heart.
The hope and encouragement that the world offers is far from perfect. God’s hope is unchanging, and forever. When we seek security from what the world has to offer, our hopes often fade and disappear. But, God has no record of failure.
I have been hurt, in pain, discouraged, disappointed and have experienced other challenges just like we all encounter. I have asked the Lord, “Why?” “Where are you?” We all do this, at times, during our spiritual journey, and I wonder what I did to deserve this.
In 1975, I was reborn, I came alive in Christ and empowered by His Holy Spirit. I found my real source of encouragement and real purpose in life. I received a great hunger for His word, began to seek Godly counsel and learned to put my trust in Jesus Christ. I was no longer the one in control as I relinquished that to God and received power through His Holy Spirit to say “no” to the things of Satan. This is the greatest encouragement you could ever receive: LET GO AND LET GOD NOW!
Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will NOT be shaken, nor my covenant of peace be removed, says the Lord who has compassion on you. (Isaiah 54:10. NIV)
Take God’s word at full value and believe that all things are possible through Jesus Christ. You can be filled with peace and encouragement beyond belief.
All your sons and daughters will be taught by the Lord, and great will be your children’s peace.
In righteousness you will be established; tyranny will be far from you, you will have nothing to fear. Terror will be far removed it will not come near you.
If anyone does attack you it will not be my doing; whoever attacks you will answer to me.
(Isaiah 54: 13-15. NIV)
Does this mean we will not face difficulties? Of course not; it means that His Holy Spirit in you will be there to walk you through and protect you. You can do your greatest growing in your deepest need. Just hang on and trust the Lord. We live in a world today where we face so many trials and emotions, but trust me, I know through the power of His Holy Spirit’s guidance you will make it and learn many great lessons in the process. In our weakness we are made strong. Praise God!
Phil. 4:6 says: Don’t worry about anything instead, pray about everything; tell God your needs and don’t forget to thank him for his answers.
Ps. 28:7 says: The Lord is my strength and shield, my heart trusts in Him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise Him.
We tend to forget that God created heaven here on earth for us to enjoy His beauty through the people we love, the birth of our children, their sweet hugs and kisses, their smiles and their pure love. Look for encouragement in the things God made, not the things of man. They are temporary. The things of God are for eternity.
Go now, dear ones, find a group of mothers who love the Lord, find a Godly mentor who you can love and trust and who can help you along your spiritual journey.
Love your husbands as Christ loved the church. Always be honest and open with your feelings for each other and in everything you do. Bring NO deception into your home.
Love your children, let your yes be yes and your no be no. Spend special time alone with them. Teach them about Jesus. What joy will fill your heart and soul. Talk about encouragement. THE BEST!!!!!!!! Let His precious Holy Spirit be your guide and He will bring you peace.
In Christ Love I Write These Words.
